Floral Art in Stationery Products

Rockroses: The Inspiration Behind the Illustration

When I lived in Seattle, rockroses were the highlight of my walks: paper-thin petals that disappear in a day, yet blaze with color while they last. This series celebrates their bold hues, delicate beauty, and quiet resilience.

Hand painted using alcohol markers and gouache, then polished in Procreate, each piece is designed to shine on various products from notebooks to posters, complete with hand-lettered botanical notes for fellow plant lovers.

Stationery Applications

The Rockrose series is designed for versatility across multiple formats. You will find similar applications of these floral, summery motifs throughout my art store in art markets, where I bring them to life on surfaces such as:

  • Greeting Cards

  • Bookmarks

  • Art Prints

  • Notebook Covers

The Process

The creation of the Rockrose series began with traditional media. I used alcohol markers and gouache to capture the vibrant pigments and organic light textures of the flowers.

These physical sketches were then imported into Procreate, where I used digital brushes to refine the details and finish the final compositions for production.
