Sweet Nostalgia

"Sweet Nostalgia" is a digital painting in Procreate, a medium I love since its allows me to be expressive with digital brushes, and work with an iPad that let me paint everywhere I go. The piece captures the bittersweet weight of childhood, and longing for love. Sweet memories that feel both joyful and overwhelming. Presented as a 12x12 inch limited-edition Giclée print on fine art cotton pearl paper.

I’m thrilled that Sweet Nostalgia won 2nd place in the Photography and Digital Art Category at the Edmonds Arts Festival. Thanks to the festival and juror John Dolan for recognizing my work. This award highlights the impact of digital art in fine arts and brought the piece wider local attention.

Digital Art Award Edmonds Arts Festival 2024

This award opened the door for me to introduce digital art to a traditional art community in Edmonds, WA. I was invited by Artists Connect in Edmonds to give a talk, Digital Jumpstart: Procreate for Artists, where I shared my creative journey and tips for using Procreate. The presentation helped bridge generations of artists and inspired members to return to their iPads, exploring digital painting with new eyes and excitement.
